Hotel ABA, The Renaissance Hollywood, is currently booked to capacity. ABA member booksellers who would like reservations should contact the association's Margaret Nafz (Margaret@bookweb.org; 800-637-0037, ext. 6614) to be put on a waiting list. To ensure that as many waiting booksellers as possible can be accommodated, anyone who no longer needs their Hotel ABA reservation should contact Nafz, so the room remains in the ABA block and can be assigned to another member.
There are other hotel options close by Hotel ABA for those currently without reservations; however, the association has not negotiated special rates with these hotels. (ABA reminds booksellers to read a hotel's cancellation policy carefully before booking a room.)
Hotel ABA will be the site of ABA's Day of Education on Thursday, May 29, as well as several ABA- and publisher-sponsored special events, beginning on Wednesday, May 28.
Reservations for Hotel ABA, which offers ABA members a special room rate of $164 per night, opened on November 15 and were filled on a first-come, first served basis. The special rate is available for Wednesday, May 28, through checkout on Monday, June 2.
Due to the popularity of Hotel ABA, the maximum number of room reservations allowed each ABA member bookstore was limited to five. If more that five hotel rooms were booked at the Renaissance Hollywood at ABA's special rate without prior approval from the association, ABA reserves the right to cancel those additional reservations. If you are not an ABA bookstore or provisional member, ABA has the right to cancel your reservation.
Booksellers with questions regarding reservations should contact the hotel directly at (866) 835-7681. However, to cancel a reservation, please contact ABA's Margaret Nafz at Margaret@bookweb.org or (800) 637-0037, ext. 6614, so the rooms remain in the ABA block and can be assigned to another bookseller.
