Booksellers interested in attending the 2017 ABC Children’s Institute can now submit their names via a form on BookWeb for the chance to win a publisher-sponsored scholarship. The American Booksellers Association’s fifth Children’s Institute (Ci5) will be held in Portland, Oregon, from April 5–7, 2017.
Scholarships are open to booksellers from ABA member stores that did not have a Children’s Institute scholarship winner in 2015 or 2016. The deadline to apply is January 31, 2017.
Scholarships will cover the conference fee, the cost of airfare or ground transportation up to $400, and two hotel nights plus tax.
Members are also invited to share their ideas for Ci5 breakout education session topics, roundtables, keynote speakers, featured talks, and education for newer booksellers, as well as which general bookselling panels from the upcoming Winter Institute should be offered again at Ci5.

Children’s Institute 2017 will be held at Portland’s Red Lion Hotel on the River – Jantzen Beach. Registration for the institute is scheduled to open in January 2017.
