The November 25 edition of IndieCommunication features information about the IndieCommerce Institute, Wi12 one-on-ones, Libro.fm, and Google Analytics.
A Unique Opportunity to Learn More About IndieCommerce
IndieCommerce stores are invited to the 2017 IndieCommerce Institute (ICI), being held on Friday, January 27, in Minneapolis, prior to the Winter Institute (Wi12). This is an opportunity for hands-on learning in a small group setting. The IndieCommerce team will introduce stores to powerful platform tools as well as features and services that will help store websites run more efficiently and profitably. The fee is $125 per person. Register today.
Mark Pearson, the CEO of Libro.fm, the digital audiobook platform for indie stores, which has recently integrated with IndieCommerce, will discuss the growth of the digital audiobook market and share insights learned to date from more than 200 participating bookstore locations. In addition to learning how Libro.fm co-branded storefront works with IndieCommerce, attendees will take away practical tips for reaching new customers with digital audiobooks. Another reason to register today for the IndieCommerce Institute at Wi12!
IndieCommerce One-on-One Sessions at Wi12
For those who can’t make the IndieCommerce Institute and those who just want more dedicated training time, the IndieCommerce staff will be offering one-on-one sessions from Saturday, January 28, through Monday, January 30, at the Winter Institute. Registration for these sessions opened December 1.
These amazing learning sessions are open to all ABA members, not just stores already using the IndieCommerce platform. Wi12 attendance is not required. Booksellers who are unsure about their schedules and don’t want to commit to a specific time slot are free to drop in and staff will try to accommodate their schedules; however, priority will be given to members who have preregistered.
Google Analytics is a powerful and free reporting tool that can give IndieCommerce stores insights about where their website visitors are coming from and what they are looking at. However, booksellers should be sure that their websites are using the most current version of Google Analytics.
Also, be sure to check out this webinar by ABA tech consultant Matt Supko on how to use Google Analytics.
Booksellers are encouraged to e-mail the IndieCommerce team to share their thoughts, questions, and suggestions.
